Hisham Sobhy
Founder and CEO of Generosus Advisors

Mr. Sobhy founded Generous Advisors to provide leading edge corporate structuring and finance solutions.

Mr. Sobhy is a 28-year veteran of Wall Street, holding numerous senior level positions in the investment community. He is currently the President and CEO of Oldfield Capital Group, LLC. He served as the Director of Investment Banking at Legend Securities, previous served as First Vice President of Janney Montgomery Scott and Vice President at Josephthal, Lyon & Ross. He has participated in numerous transactions over his career that in aggregate exceed $1 Billion.

His background includes investment analysis, valuation capital structure, business focus, and market growth. He is an expert in creating a sound business model and a process of implementation in different industries, his past projects include seeing through seed investments, private placement bridge financing, and initial public offerings. In addition, he assisted and contributed to merger and acquisition transactions for some major US & international companies.

Mr. Sobhy also served as an advisor for several institutions, funds and private companies. In addition, he has certificates on executive training from Harvard School of Business Executive training program. Mr. Sobhy earned an M.B.A. in Management & Finance from AU Berkeley, California and received his B.S. in engineering from Cairo University.

Jerald Belofsky

Jerald Alan Belofsky is an investment banker and lawyer. He is the Managing Member of Jerald Alan Belofsky Esq. LLC (JABEL), his law firm. 

In the course of his career Mr. Belofsky has run the North America operations for a Netherlands based merchant bank as well as private placement offices in London and Geneva. Prior to starting his own investment bank he ran the emerging market merchant banking activities for a Swiss based company. At that company he was responsible for financing, due diligence, acquisitions, and real estate investments for projects and advisory assignments ranging from the Middle East (Bahrain, Dubai, Kuwait, Oman) to Asia (China, Singapore) and Eastern Europe (Albania, Bosnia, Greece). 

He is a member of the New Jersey, Florida and American Bar Associations and is a FINRA registered securities principal. Mr. Belofsky was formerly a neutral (judge) with the National Association of Securities Dealers. He is a graduate of Boston University, New York University and George Washington University Law School. At the later he was Finance Editor of the Journal of International Law and Economics.

These are the writings of Joe Bartlett, a 40-year veteran of Venture Capital, lawyer, and publisher of extensive writings on Private Equity and Corporate Finance issues.

Joseph Bartlett is Special Counsel Fish & Richardson P.C. His focus includes venture capital, from the ‘embryo to the IPO,’ where he has been featured in the press and in the community as a leading practitioner, plus a number of other asset and transactional classes. Thus, he is the primary author of a treatise on leveraged buyouts and was counsel to Bain Capital and Chemical Ventures (now JP Morgan Chase) upon organization. His experience in M&A ranges from private companies well under one hundred million … to $3 billion reorganizations (Tandem Computer into Compaq). He has been active in corporate restructurings and distressed assets, his participation ranging from court appointed trustee (the Estate of Charles Brennick) to co-counsel to the DBL Liquidating Trust, disposing post confirmation of $3 billion of Drexel’s assets. He has been involved in organizing private equity funds since the first non-family venture fund, Greylock, was organized and floated in 1965. His public company experience includes Madison Fund, a closed end registered investment company; involved in acquiring control positions in undervalued public companies.

He maintains this website so potential clients are invited to review such matters as: billing options and alternatives; case studies illustrating advice to clients in situations where leading law firms had been unable or unwilling to put together a workable plan; his published materials and teaching assignments focus on the corporate finance journey from the ‘embryo to the IPO.
